I am from michigan but a student in the west indies. I have a judgement against me by a credit card which I do owe. I have no job and live in another country. However, I do plan on paying once I'm done with school. My wife is still in the states and supports us both. We have no house, one car, and what my wife makes just covers our living expesense. My question is can they go after my wife's salary or car due to a debt I owed prior to our marriage but sued recently? I am not on her car loan, but we have a joint bank account. My second question is that I put my student loan money in our savings and wondered if they can take that too? |
