immediate settlement to pay infull

What is the name of your state? arkansas
a credit collection agency has contact me for an old bill from back in 1991 and this company that i once owed went bankrupcy about two years ago. the thing is that when i was married to my first husband we had this bill together and threw our divorce he agreed to pay all old debt's. well, you see he did not do this and no one can or will contact him b/c it to hard to contact him sense he does not pay taxes or file anything or put anything in his name
so yes, they are going to bother me about this. what i need to know is this agency has come up with a immediate settlement of over half of the bill. old bill $1238.00 and settlement is $543.42 and this i do not have all together. I can not get my ex to help me with this and the agency does not care the just want the money at one time someone told me about requesting a cease. will this work? please contact me back on this i only have till the 9th of august.

1991! Thank goodness you asked. The SOL in Ark. ran out long ago according to www.creditinfocenter.com. Send 'em a Cease & Desist letter CRRR and tell them not to bother you with this again. www.creditnet.com has a sample letter section. The site is free but you must register.
