Inactive Accounts

What is the name of your state? South Carolina

I have several inactive accounts on my credit reports. These accounts were opened in 1995 - 96 and were never used. Could these inactive accounts affect my credit score?

Is too many accounts one of the reason codes on ways to improve your score?

Well, stuff that old is likely having no affect on your scores. I'd go to work on the things the CRA suggested that may help your score.
Other than a good record of paying your bills, I think one of the things that is most important to the score is you credit utilization ratios {U/R's} on revolving debt. I saw something last year that said the average consumer only used 22% of the credit available to them. Look at your U/R and see how that compares to average.
