intergration of Commerce Bank and TD

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Connecticut Quite awhile ago Commerce Bank was bought out by TD Bank. Well today I went to withdraw money from my checking account Because I knew that a deposit in the amount of 575.00 was made this morning. When I went to the bank machine it was not showing the depost that was made this morning. I spoke to a customer rep and they stated that they were in the process of intergrating the two banking systems and any deposit made after Sunday would not show in your balance nor would you be able to excess the money. I asked even if it was a cash deposit and they told me no. So my next question was during intergrating the two systems if a check were to come in against my account would the bank honor it and waive overdraft fees due to their technical difficulties. They siad they would and woould waive the fees so my next question was how was this to be tracked by the customer or would the bank handle it? They had no clue. My problem is the Bank did not notify their customers that this would be the case until the customer tries to take their hard earned money out of the account. Is this legal for a Bank to do this without notification to the customers? If they would have notified me I would not have had the cash deposited into the account instead I would have had the person pay me. As a result my son who is in college needs medicine becuase he is sick and I cannot acces my money.
