Jetx or LadynRedWhat is the name of your state? Texas Can you point me to the statute that states if payment is made that it does or does not start the SOL again? Thank you |

| A cursory review of the applicable Texas statutes did not find any specific statute that would show that a payment or partial payment does, or does not, reset an expired SOL. For information only, I did find the following as to acknowledging a debt and the resetting: Civil Prac & Rem Code: "§ 16.065. Acknowledgment of Claim An acknowledgment of the justness of a claim that appears to be barred by limitations is not admissible in evidence to defeat the law of limitations if made after the time that the claim is due unless the acknowledgment is in writing and is signed by the party to be charged."
__________________ There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution). Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
