Judgement against credit cardWhat is the name of your state?New Jersey. THere was a judgement made against me for a credit card. Once the judgement went throught I receive a letter stating this. It also asked how I wanted to pay. I told them I could pay $50/month and I mailed them a check for the first $50.00. Well, on Friday they withdrew $957.00 from my checking account. Do they have to notify me as to what they were doing? I had to scramble to come up with money to replace in my account to cover the checks that I have outstanding. I appreciate any feedback. |

| Q: Do they have to notify me as to what they were doing? A: You were notified that your bank account was being attached as a result of the judgment. Check your file at the courthouse and you will see it in there. |

| They have a judgment, they can go after any assets they can get their hands on legally, and bank accounts are a prime and easy target. ANY money you put back into that account is going to be sucked right out again by the judgment creditor. You may end up having to pay your bills by money orders for a while until you get your bank account released.
