judgement-exempt part. propertyWhat is the name of your state? arkansas I was sent a judgement, by regular mail; however, I was not served properly or notified of a court date. The court paperwork states I can claim under Act 610 certain particular property as exempt. What does this include? The judgement also requests a financial statement in 45 days; however, the letter was dated in mid December, 2002, and the court order was in late November, 2002. What do I need to do to file with the circuit court properly? I was advised if I was not served properly, then the judgement is void. Is this true? thanks for your help/advice. Ginny |

| Yes its true, but you have to show improper service. Service can take many forms, so you'll have to find out what constitutes proper service in your state. Call the court and get a copy of the Proof of Service documents and go from there. Exemptions for AK can be found here: http://www.thebankruptcysite.com/exemptions/arkansas.htm
