Judgement? - Question 1

I just received a letter in the mail from a collection agency here in town stating that I have a judgment balance owin go x amount of dollars. No mention of a creditor other then a docket number. I have NO knowledge of this. I was never informed of a debt going to judgement, nor was I ever informed of any such decision passed against me. What is up with that? Is there anything I can do about this?
This same collection agency has given me a huge headache on other matters..next post on that one.
