Judgment, seized bank account...for how long?

Illinois

So, if I get a judgement against me that allows the CC co. to seize my bank account, is that a "one time" thing, or do they basically have control over that account from that moment on and I might as well close it?

what happens if they seize my account, take the $100 that is in it and I open another account at another bank?

do they have to sue me again to get to that bank account?

I can now see why so many people use currency exchanges and Money Orders.....

The credit card company received a judgement for a specific purpose, to retrieve the funds that are owed to them. They can seize ANY of your accounts until the debt is satisfied unless otherwise specified in the judgement. This would include an new account that you open if they are able to locate it.

Do you have a copy of the judgement? If not get a copy from the courthouse where the judgement was obtained. It should explain the specifics of the award.
