last march was last time i paid credit card , forthe next 3-4 months i did not receive statements. i thought it was a good thing because i didn't have money to pay anyway. when i finally called the credit card co. they said i was put into collections. i did not receive any warnings. come to find out they had for some reason switched my addr. and were sending bills to florida. i couldnt pay coll agency because they wanted lump sum. now ihave been arguing with a lawyers office who bought the debt from credit card company. they will not take payments of 200 a month until i get on better footing financially. they left off by saying they were going to court to get judgement .. and the bill will now be 11,000 instead of 5000.

is there anything i should do?

can they garnish wages or tax return or put lein on house?
