Back in September 2000 here in Mountain Home, Idaho I made a one time payment over the phone from my checking/ savings account. They went on to take a payment out the next month without my knowledge costing me in all sorts of fees and I went in to dispute this and stated I didn't want this to happen again. In Nov they took more money out my account and it cost me another $180.00 in various fees. I since then closed the account and has been requesting for the last four months info in writing on how they are going to fix it. They didn't get back with me even when I went into the bank office. 27 Mar 01 I received a call from someone from the bank who wouldn't give me her name stating that these things just happen as they did with me, but requested that I pay up about $400.00 now to bring my account current. Do they have the legal right to take money directly from my checking account? Even if I carry a credit card from that establishment under a different account all together?
