Loan barely 30 days overdue....

What is the name of your state? NY

I live in NY and had my original car loan debt(In MA) sold to another company in LA. I had some things happen that have caused me to lag about 10-20 days behind in the payments. I have sent them written notice to no longer contact me at work, and yet today, I got a phone call from them(at work) and when I stated that I had already requested they not contact me at work, the person WENT OFF on me and started to tell me that I needed to "Take care of my business and pay now" and there was a 5 day notice on my loan. I am not even 30 late on this, and I thought once I got my taxes back, I would catch back up. Now I am angry at the threats and the repeated calls at work that I told them not to make. I have again submitted a request in writing that they NOT call me at work OR at home now. Do I have any kind of recourse to stop the threats and harassment?

Thanks in advance....

Greg

Pay them ASAP. The orginal creditor is not bound by the Fair Debt Collection Pratices Act.
This would be worth getting a cash advance on a cc.

Elaborate please...your telling me I have to endure the threats at work and at home? *I* am not the one who sold the debt....
Your response really hurts......I have no problems making the payments...they are just a tad late...I didn't think the threats were necessary.....

This hurts??????
Grow up. If it's no problem to pay then, pay before you go 30 days late and, it gets plastered on your credit report.
Get current and then re-fi the loan with another lender-hopefully one kinder and gentler.
