Mother died left debt

What is the name of your state? Oregon My Mother died recently and left a debt of $4,116.09. To a Credit Card Company. She has no property. She was on fixed income of Social Security. Am I responable for her debt? Should I contact them by phone or just send the Death Certificate?

No, you are not responsible for the debt. If your mother had no estate then the credit card company gets zip. Just send them a copy of the Death Certificate by CRRRM and that should take care of it.

Yes. Send it by CRRRM so you have proof that they received it.
