NO Contract Agreement!

What is the name of your state? GA

Here is a question for my girlfriend.
About a year ago, she lived in a different home that she was renting with 2 other girls. It was a new home, but had roaches since it was next to a large field. The landlord wouldn't pay for spraying so she called a place in town called "Astro". Well the guy came out there, sprayed, asked her to sign a paper saying that he sprayed, and left. The bill came and she paid it, (44.00). The next month, he came back even though he wasnt called, but being that my girlfriend is nice and doesnt like confrontation, she let him spray again. After he sprayed, she told him not to come back because she was moving. I was at the house everytime he came. So I know what was said. He said no problem. SO, my girlfriend moves to an apartment on the other side of town. About 3 months after she moves, she get a letter in the mail from astro. Wanting $144.00. Imedatly she called them. They told her, that she was in a contract for ONE YEAR of spraying. Now, the only thing she EVER signed was a recipt of service, which we have the Carbon copy of. NEVER a contract. She asked them if they had the contact, and astro said yes. we asked for a copy, and they said they would send one. They never did, we asked them twice. but got nothing. The next couiple of weeks, she got a collection letter from CBV. This pissed us off. I told her NOT to call the collections agency, but she did anyway, and they pretty much told her to kiss their @$$ and she owes the money and quit trying to get out of it. She asked them for a contract and they ALSO said that there was one on file, she asked for it, and they NEVER sent it. Well, no more phone calls after that, I recently chek mine and her credit, and on hers, was the ASTRO chrage. I was furious. I'm disputing it, but besides that I dont know what to do.
Is the fact that they lie and say they have a contract illegal?
Is it wrong that they wont send her a copy of it?
Does she have any legal grounds against Astro?
Thanks again!

"Is the fact that they lie and say they have a contract illegal?"
*** No.

"Is it wrong that they wont send her a copy of it?"
*** Wrong? Yes. Illegal? No.

"Does she have any legal grounds against Astro?"
*** No. But all she has to do is to send the collection agency a 'validation' letter, in writing, by certified RRR. Though I don't normally suggest a 'double', in this case, she should also send a 'Cease and Desist' letter. Good sample letters can be found at: www.creditinfocenter.com/forms/

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
