Notice of judgements or court date

What is the name of your state? TX
Starting this month through the next 6 months my credit cards will be reaching the 4 SOL. Im on pins and needles every day waiting for the creditors to take me to court and file a judgement before the time runs out. My home was damaged and I have been relocated for the last 4 months but will be moving back in next month. I got a copy of my credit report 2 months ago and it showed no judgements. My question is ..could a creditor have filed papers to take me to court and I not be served with papers since I have not been at my house. Ive been living in an apt 2 blocks away but had all my mail continue to go to my home so I dont receieve any mail at the apt I am temporarily in. How hard do they search for you when serving papers and what happens if they dont find you? Can action have begun against me without my knowledge?
Ive seen my question asked many times and the answers have been "no" but "maybe" so I am confused. I would hate to repeatedly call the courthouse for the next 6 months asking if I am named in a civil suite. But I am also afraid if they did file a claim in the courts and I wasnt aware of it I would loose all oppertunity to defend myself.
I appreciate any suggestions here.
