Ohio - Help clean up credit report

What is the name of your state?Ohio

I have collection debts that are on my credit report from Asset Acceptance (Bank One & Citibank) & Risk Management (Sears). The date of last activity is as follows:

Asset Acceptance: Bank One - 10/98 (Last reported 12/04)
Asset Acceptance: Citibank - 01/99 (Last reported 12/04)
Risk Management: Sears - 01/99 (Last reported 6/04)

The Asset Acceptance accounts are no longer on my credit, collections only. Risk Management is on my credit as CBUSears and the last activity is 03/98 (Last reported 03/05)

Does the SoL apply? Can I dispute these items successfully? I have had no contact with any of these creditors since 03/98. I am trying to get a home loan and need to have these dealt with one way or another.

Please help...anyone...

Standard answer on expired SOL and/or validation and/or dispute letters. There are thousands of posts similar to yours on this forum so I have prepared a standard answer.

SOL

http://www.fair-debt-collection.com/Disputing_Collections/SoL-dispute-letter.html

Validation letter samples you can get at :

and www.creditboards.com

Disputes: You can write a letter of dispute to the three credit reporting agencies.

Go this website to find instructions and samples for how to dispute: http://www.creditinfocenter.com/creditreports/

Sometimes errors are easy to remove and sometimes they stick like glue. It is inexpensive to try and not difficult.

I am NOT a creditor-debtor lawyer; stand by for further help.

I am NOT vouching for the accuracy of these websites!
