we have a phone bill from over 7 years ago that has been put back on our credit. it had dropped off over a year ago. the original debt was not ours and it was over $1000. because our phone was used fraudulently, we weren't going to pay it. so, we took the hit on our credit report for the past several years. but, we don't feel we should have to again. now another credit agency is coming after us and threatening to take us to court and is being uncooperative and won't even speak to us on the telephone. what should we do? and is there any legal action that can be taken against them? |
