I attended the university of akron back in 1996 and signed up for some classes i ended up not being able to take due to a job transfer and death in the family. i cancelled the classes but i guess it was after the deadline. they have been sending me bills ever since but recently referred it over to the attorney generals office. the bill was for $822.00 but the attorney general added 90.00 in late fees. do i have any recourse in this matter or can i possibly get the bill reduced by paying a lump some. thanks for any info.

I don't know about the attorney general's office, but most places will offer a settlement, especially if you are offering to pay it in a lump sum. I would call their office and ask them.
