Paying any amount? What is the name of your state? Virginia May a debtor avoid legal action if they pay a very small portion of the debt payment required on a legal retail installment contract? Say they only pay $10.00 a month when the regular payment is $75.00. Can a Creditor sue for default? Thank You.. |

| Yes, they can sue. A creditor is under no obligation to accept less than what you agreed to pay in the agreement.
