plaintiff out of businessafter checking my credit today i found out that a loan company has a judgement against me. i paid them in full within a week of being notified they were seeking judgement ,including paying the court filing fee.this was in '96 ,they gave me a receipt with paid infull in big letters and assured me there would be no further action required of me as the case would be dropped.yet here i am today with a five year old debt on my credit and the loan company out of business.any suggestions ? |

| You're sure it says judgement and not chargeoff or paid by collection? No matter. Send copies of your documentation to the CRA and ask them to delete it from your report. They'll check with the loan company to verify. If there is no loan company or loan company successor, they can't verify and should remove the notation. Send all that stuff RRR. |
