please help :)

What is the name of your state?
hi please can someone help me. about 6 years ago i took out a personal loan, which i paid back monthly out of my wages. When i left work 2 years ago i found i couldn't repay the loan any longer..i didn't tell anyone about it (not even my partner). I just stopped paying it. Now all these years later they have decided to contact me on this. i have told them about my situation ( i get nothing, no wages or benefits (my partner keeps me). i own NO property and they wouldn't be able to prove that i have any possesions. what can they do legally to get the money back (about 5000 pounds). can they make my boyfriend repay it even though he had nothing to do with the loan..please help

What is the name of your state please - are you saying hi (Hawaii) or hi (Hello)? I note you talk of pounds & not dollars. US law only. Thanks.

I'll assume you're in the USA...

Assuming your boyfriend is not a party to the loan (i.e. he did not co-sign), he will not be responsible for it. They can sue you, and if successful, obtain a judgment. However, if you have no income or possessions, they won't be able to collect.

I wouldn't assume she's in the USA, not when the reference to the amount owed is in POUNDS !
