Question about credit report

What is the name of your state? NV

Was applying for a home equity loan and discovered the following problems on my credit reports that are killing our credit,
1) Back in 1999 lived in a different state had a bank account moved to NV, forgot about the account (my fault) it had a balance of about $300 in it. I had my mail forwarded to new address in NV and was never sent a statement, time went on last year when purchasing our house this bank shows up on our credit report as in collections for $90, I called the bank, they said that the account was inactive, and charged a monthly fee when that was exauhed we started oweing! OK so I just wanted it off the credit report I paid the $90 with the promise from them (I didnt get it in writing, but because of that I now get EVERYTHING in writing!) that they would remove it from the credit reports... welll its still there says collection/paid and causes great hardships when applying for credit. have a few other things on too negitive, but this one needs to come off!

any help would be appreicated!

Also does anyone know what this means I disputed a collection account that was not valid (long story) and it says : TUC:account submitted to collection, Acct info disputed by consumer, meet FCRA requirem under XPN:says Account in dispute resoultion pending - and next to the TUC is says COLL/ P&L does anyone have an idea what this means??
Thanks for any help!

COLL/P&L - means collection/profit & loss - basically its a charge-off now in collection status.

The dispute part at least is correct. How long ago did you dispute this ? They have 30 days to investigate and get back to you with a resolution. The CAN get an additional 15 days, but then time's up, they either prove it or remove it.

Thank you for responding....

and telling me what collection/profit & loss means that was driving me crazy(short trip lol) OK, on the credit report the line reads as follows:
last last
BUR open amt pmt bal reported status amt delq hist date

TUC 01-01 $$$ N/A $$$ 05-03 COLL/P&L $$$ 05-03 05--03

This thing is soo weird what it is is a utility company, when I moved out of state I thought I had paid the final bill but they sent me the bill with only mid month charges because I turned it off and moved, and again I know it sounds like a broken record but I really didnt get another bill anyways I moved in 1999 and I guess the utility company sold this debt to another collection company and it is showing up like it is a new debt what should have been about $40 is like $250 with interest and fees
I honestly cant remember the exact date I disputed it but it was around May (would that signify the 5-03 last reported and deliquent dates?) If the 30 or 45 days are over how do I find out the results?

Does Acct info disputed by consumer, meet FCRA requirems mean in my favor or the collectors? This is soooo confusing!
Im trying to straighten my credit up..... they are making it impossible!!
