Recourse for Incorrect Information on Credit Bureau

What is the name of your state Louisiana.

Over the course of the past six months My mortgage company has repeatedly posted wrong information to the credit bureaus wreaking havoc on my credit report and costing me alot of sleepless nights, bad credit ratings, and loss of low interest rates on existing accounts and hindered my ability to get the needed "bonds" for my business.

I have had to contact them each month in an effort to clear the matter up and each time I am told they have taken care of it. If I were in fact late on my mortgage payment I would accept this and move on however their posting was the error.

What recourse do I have since a supervisor from GMAC mortgage has yet to return my calls despite the continued "promise" someone will. I have documented most of the nightmare because this has caused a financial strain when there should have never been one.

I have been trying to deal with them (and they have acknoweldged this is their error) since Jan. 09 to have the matter resolved. It has gotten worse instead of better and they have trashed my once perfect credit score.

They have me held captive with no alternatives it seems. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Have you filed a dispute with the credit bureaus?
