Reposession laws??

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
My car was reposessed a few days ago. I believe the repo company MAY have damaged my vehicle during the process of this. The car is now paid off and legally mine so I am wondering what exactly can be done if in fact the vehicle is damaged or where exactly can I find my states laws regarding what can and cannot be done during a reposession. I know I can take them to court but unfortunately paying off the vehicle wiped us out and I know that the repo company is going to poo poo my claim that they deliberately did damage.

Sue the repo company for the cost of repairs in small claims court.

Lawsuits are not about justice. They are about MONEY. If you don't want money, then you shouldn't be thinking about suing. And people post here because they are thinking about suing. Because they want money, no matter how much they don't want to admit that to themselves.
