Reposession laws??What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan My car was reposessed a few days ago. I believe the repo company MAY have damaged my vehicle during the process of this. The car is now paid off and legally mine so I am wondering what exactly can be done if in fact the vehicle is damaged or where exactly can I find my states laws regarding what can and cannot be done during a reposession. I know I can take them to court but unfortunately paying off the vehicle wiped us out and I know that the repo company is going to poo poo my claim that they deliberately did damage. |

| Sue the repo company for the cost of repairs in small claims court.
