Searching fordeceased spouses money

What is the name of your state?Texas. My husband and I separated after 33 years of marriage last August. We never went past the legally separated stage. My husband died suddenly of a heart attack in January. When he left, he took $19,000.00 out of our joint account. I have found only one small bank account. Is there someway that I can search with his ss# for other bank accounts. safety deposits etc.? We did not have wills and our /his portion of our estate in presently going through probate. Unfortunately his brother (not in our lives for 7 years prior to our separation) has convinced our son (on probation for drug charges in one state, and out on bail for another charge in another (yes, I bailed him out) to try to block the court proceedings. My primary concern is his family are generally quite vultruistic and could resort to anything if they thought they would benefit financially. They have already removed almost all of the items from the house, storage building, vehicles, trailers, tools, etc. What is the name of your state?
