sears gold mastercard---lost and bankruptcy

name of state: Washington.

I just filed for bankruptcy and my discharge date is 14th of February. Today i just discovered i misplaced my Sears Mastercard---which wasnt included in the bankruptcy. I reported it and they say they are gonna issue me a new account number and send my card in 7 to 10 business days. My question is do they do credit checks when issueing new cards? Can they deny me my credit cards due to my bankruptcy?

And why wasn't it included ??? If you owe Sears any money, then you are REQUIRED to include ALL debts, you don't get to pick and choose.

They might, but they probably DO perform periodic AR reviews of your credit as normal procedure.

Absolutely. And if you owed them money on that card, you can expect that they will CLOSE that account soon enough. Even if you owed them nothing on that card, don't expect them to leave that account open now.

Well then, you just *MIGHT* skinny thru. Did you include any other debts to CitiBank in your bankruptcy ?? If not, they may let you keep the card open. If you use it, use it VERY sparingly and build your credit slowly with it.
