secondary credit card holders

What is the name of your state? Iowa

I recently got a phone call saying that my little sister and I were being sued by American Express for a credit card debt that my father has not paid. He put us on the account when we were younger(18 and 20 I believe) as secondary card holders to establish our credit. We were both taken off of the account a couple of years ago. AmEx says that since we were on the account at one time, we are also being sued for the balance. Can they do this?

When did your father last pay Amex? Also, were you listed as an authorized user or, joint? If AU, you've no responsibility for the charges. Did you sign any credit card agreement?

*** From the above (and the only way that you would build credit in your name), I assume that you were also an account holder (and not just an authorized user). As such, you very likely signed an agreement and can be held responsible for the balance.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
