Sharing credit no more.

i'm in ca, i secured a credit card in my name with my boyfriend as a secondary user. now he is working and making money to establish his credit and pay the card independently. i want to remove my name from the card and have him be solely responsible. he still cannot secure his own card and transfer a balance to a different one because he hasn't had "good credit"long enough. How can I get my name off the current card and allow him to build up his own name on the card that he is using now (the card that we share, that i no longer want to be attached to)?

Unless the cc company will accomodate you, it won't happen. You best course is zero the card out and cancel it. Each of you should be responsible for obtaining your on credit.
