sirius stole my money

What is the name of your state? pennsylvania

first post, hope you guys can help me.

on december 25th 2006 i paid my quarterly bill to sirius satellite radio for $38. they took $152 out of my debit card. i got that straightened out (apparently they had put my debit card number on someone else's account, and i was paying for them too), and they told me they would send me a check for the difference that they mis-drew. time went by and i never received the check. i called sirius and they said that they had credited my credit card with the amount. that never happened either. they provided me with the last 4 digits of the credit card that they credited to and it is NOT MY CARD. someone changed the credit card number on my account w/o my authorization. the customer service agents are totally unhelpful and refuse to investigate this any further. one of the supervisors told me that i should stop trying to rip them off and to stop calling! what can i do to try and get my money back?

File a small claims case in the court where you purchased your sirius system and prove that they owe you money.

Pay with credit card

This is one of the reasons why I will never subscribe to any service that requires a monthly payment automatically withdrawn from a credit card.

In the future.. I know some of this message board may not like Paypal. But they have something now called "Virtual Credit Cards". If you want to subscribe to something that requires a credit card payment, you can get a virtual credit card that acts like a pre-paid credit card. The card can only be used once and for the amount of the transaction.

Have you called your bank to contest the charges???? I bet that would get their attention.

Contact your Debit Card Company

Place this charge in dispute, and explain what happened to the debit card company. They will issue a chargeback. Sirius will probably investigate this. I have a feelign you have a good chance of winning. The only possible backlash I see is that sirius cuts your radio off temporarly while they investigate, which would be unlikely.

Whatever action you choose to take in this matter, move quickly. Sirius is merging with XM and once the records are integrated into a single company youi may never resolve the issue.
