I obtained a $1300 loan for someone who I thought was a friend, I also got a credit card for this person in my name and I allowed then to make a $600 purchase on one of my credit cards which was a huge mistake. I am having a very dificult time getting my money from her and everytime I ask her about it she blows and says that the frienship is over and she wished that she never asked me to get a loan for her and things of that nature. I have tried to work this out with her every possible way that I know how but she is just has been unreasonable about the entire thing. I have nothing in writing only her word and so it would be her word against mines with the exception of a few e-mails that I printed with her acknowledging that she does owe the money. Is this worth the time and money taking this to small claims court and if so what are my chances of winning? She keeps telling me if I want her to pay more than whats due each month to take her to court and to only contact her through a lawyer from now on out. I desperately need some help.

Before the BIG GUNS get to you, please tell us your state...

In MY OPINION take her to court. You have the loan papers, the credit card bill (by the way who signed for the $600 purchase?) and the acknowledgement of the owed$$.
