SOL in Texas

What is the name of your state? TX

I was wondering about some specifics dealing with SOl in TX. The law states that they must file suit no later than 4 years after the day the cause of action accrues. what does cause of action accrues mean specifically? I'm wondering if the clock starts when it originally went into collections or when I made the last paymenton this account.
