| state, is califorina...is there a limit on collecting a aledged debt? The debt was incurred 4yrs. ago, and I just recieved a letter from a collection agency, telling me I owed money $850.00 to a towing co, that towed my car 4yrs. ago. |

| My response: Yes, the S.O.L. is 4 years on a written debt. Make absolutely sure of the date your car was towed, and calculate the 4 years up to today. If more than 4 years, they are out of luck. If under 4 years, they could file a lawsuit against you - - even if there's only 1 day left. IAAL |
