Stopping harassing calls and physical threats from a creditor

What is the name of your state? Maryland

A company I did business with took me to court for a debt owed.
Even though I didn't dispute the debt I did dispute the amount.
The judge awarded against me and a judgement was placed
on my credit record. In the mean time the owner of this company
has come by my place of employment, called me there, called my
home several times and threatened me. And he lies to try to get
information out of my wife when he calls. I am sick of this. I tried to settle with him but he wants the whole amount. I am ready
to file bankruptcy and a restraining order because this person is known to carry a weapon. Help!

Well, filing bk would kill 2 birds with one stone. When you file a bk, you get an automatic stay from continued collection activity. A violation would be violating a Federal Court order.
