please help ! collection problem


What is the name of your state? florida
I just found out today that a suit was filled against me for a 4 year old credit debt
by a company called the rijo group llc , what should i do? should i try and call them and make a settement or should i get lawyer? what can happen if i lose in small claims court?
its a debt in the amount between 500$-2500$ atleast thats what my local clerk of court web site says

Depends. Do you owe the creditor the amount claimed (plus allowed interest, legal fees, etc)??

Contact them and confirm they have the right to pursue the debt. If they do, then you can certainly attempt to negotiate a settlement. If they have the right and you owe the debt, an attorney really can't do anything.

They get a judgment and then pursue enforcement actions to collect the judgment.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

is it worth getting a lawyer to negociate the settlement or just do it my self if i owe them 2000$ what kind of settlement should i try for
