What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NEW JERSEY
I am a resident of NJ. Just received a complaint summon via regular mail from NJ superior court for a citibank card that went deliquent (4800). I cant afford to pay nor afford a lawyer. The summon says to file in writing my answer to the complaint by the plaintiff's lawyer within 35 days. My Credit report shows last activity in feb 2002 and last payment made in april 2006.? Does statute of limitation law applies in this case? Also, back in 2006 I disputed this transactions via credit repair company and it was deleted from my credit report, which I have confirmation on. How can I defend based on these scenarios? PLease advise.
Thanks
