Summons

What is the name of your state? NY

Hello i recieved a sommons for a credit card that i owe 9,000.
i couldn't pay this dept because i was on ssi.i just got my widows. pension.I tried to get a loan but was turned down because i own a moble home but not the land Also i couldn't afford to pay this loan back.I know they can put a lein on the mobile home.My question is can they make me sell it?i still owe a mortgage on it.

How much equity do you have in the mobile home ? In NY, there is a 10,000 exemption for real property and that includes mobile homes. If your equity falls below 10,000, then they can't touch your mobile home, it is exempt.
