Summons/ Settlement

What is the name of your state? Az

I spoke to the Attorney that is suing me, after a few minutes on the phone we decided to settle out of court. He even agreed to settle with less money than I was willing to offer. He told me to have the money in so he could hve the paperwork done, we also agreed on having my ac**** show up as "paid as agreed". The only thing is that he told me to disregard the summons. Do you thin he might be lying and heisjust trying to set me up for a deffault judgment, or do you think he is telling the truth and also wants to get this over with?

Are you sending thing guy money WITHOUT written agreement first ???? I hope not, you really want that agreement signed first, you just never know what they'll do.

Since you're settleing out of court, then the atty should cancel the suit he's filed and you could ignore the summons. Rather than ask the collection atty, call the court clerk ask them what you do with the summons since you're settling out of court.
