What is the name of your state?Ca.
My auto insurance issued a check made out to me and the bank. I dont have an account at the bank that its made out to. SO do i need to go to the bank so they can sign it over to me then take it to my bank to cash it?? Or do I just take it to the bank its made out to . to cash it???

I'm guessing that the check was made out to the bank and yourself because your car loan was through this bank? One way or another, if the payee line reads, "ABC bank AND Sunmommy, then both parties must endorse the check. If it says OR (which is unlikely) then only you need to endorse it. If it's the former scenario then you should take it to your loan officer, and they will assist you. A local branch would be able to help you too. You may want to call first to see if they will need to see the accident report, repair invoice/quotes etc.

There are other factors that may come into play here, but I'm not going to go into them since you haven't provided enough details.
