What is the name of your state? California

I got some rings from some jewlery store and since im 2 months late on my payment, they are sending people to almost break inside my house to demand payment, plus, sent threating letters saying that they are gonna garnish my wages, take me to court and stuff like that.
I know the like to threat people, but, sending people to my house and at the same time calling on their cell phone from the outside.
Is this harrasment? are they right by doing all this? just over 1500 bucks?
should i fill for harrasment in court of law?

If it's the original creditor then there are no rules they must follow as a third party collecotr must. You owe them money and they do have a right to try and collect from you. Depending on what your agreement with them was or the contract states, they may can do several things including file in court for a judgement and garnish wages or place leins. If it's in the agreement they may be able to take the jewelry back also and still make you pay if they can't sell them for the same price. You should try to work out a payment plan with them.

If these jerks are on YOUR property making threats and harrassing you, call the police and have them arrested !! Menace would be a perfectly legal charge on your part. Geurilla collection tactics are unnecessary and certainly uncalled for. Got a tape recorder or video recorder ?? If they come to your home again, turn on the tape recorder or grab the video camera and get their rotten behavior on tape to back up your compliant with the police. Collection by an OC is one thing, trying to break into your home is tresspass and far above reasonable collection efforts.
