Threats to repo my Truck

I live in Oklahoma. I purchased my truck in Indiana. my loan is held with Key Bank (Auto Finance Group) in Illinois. I had bad credit when I purchased the vehicle due to a divorce/medical bankruptcy but Key Bank financed the pre-owned 1995 GMC Sonoma five years ago. I have only three payments left. I am a muscian and have been late before on my payments. Three months ago I sent a check for $2000 for the pay off. I wrote on the note section of the check "payoff" they said they couldn't except the check as there were other charges I was unaware of. Key Bank said there was a time they couldn't locate me and did some sort of search for the vehicle and now charging me for extra charges of approximate $350.00. I didn't have the extra $350 at the time to send. Since they wouldn't except a payoff, I then reissued another check for three payments of $1100.00, which I thought brought me current until February. They have been calling an harrassing my wife while I was out of town, saying they were going to have the truck picked up. I find out today they are saying it went into 60 days overdue for $2.30. I just started a job and won't get payed till next week, but they tell me if I don't have the payment in tomorrow they will repo it. I have paid unbelievable finance charges already. These people never harrassed me like this in years past when I was late. What's up with them when I only have three payments left. They are bleeding me to death and I fear I will lose my vehicle. Is there something I can do to help myself?

Good Luck with them people. We have our auto loan with them and they are the worst people to deal with. We have 2 payments that they have lost of ours. We have tried for nearly 2 years to get this fixed with no luck. I would send them a letter stating that you want proof of the (Search) they are charging you for, and a payment history. If it is only $2.30 you owe, try to pay it. Believe me they will harrass you to no end over this and provide very little to no help. Also have your wife call the customer service number 1-800-539-0102 or 1-888-539-7900, they maybe more helpful in the matter. The people at 1-800-432-0201 are of no help and will not help you at all with this. Also if you are 60 days behind have they sent it to a third party collections? Encore Receiveable Management is usually what they use, if it has been sent there ask for Kate, she is very helpful. I hope this helps any.
