Trying to get a bill

What is the name of your state? Florida

I been paying off bad debt for a little while. And i got this one collection for $45.00. On my credit report.

I have sent a letter to MERCHANTS ASSN COLL agency for them to send me a bill so i can pay it off, but they have not sent me a bill as of yet.

Would i be able to get the orginal creditor which is teco peoples gas to send me a bill for this so i can pay it off.

I am doing everything thur written letter so i have a paper trail.

I got this bill in when i was living in tampa and thought i had everything paid before i moved back to orlando, but i never recieved a bill from them.

EDIT: Only main reason i am asking for a bill is so that i have the correct balance and also the correct account number

Richard

Since it has gone to collections, deal with the CA. Send a letter asking for validation as required by the FDCPA. Should the CA not comply, the debt has to be marked in dispute and they cannot continue collection activity until they have done so. When you send letters, send them CMRRR. This is proof the CA received the letter(s).
