| Virginia SOL for judgments is 20 years (thats right, 20!!), so it has clearly NOT expired.
Plus, the judgment creditor can ask for, and was probably awarded, costs of attorney, court costs, plus interest. The current statutory interest in VA is 9% per year (or higher by contract).
Yes, you can contact the Virginia court to pay the debt, but the amount will be the same.
Finally, though you apparently don't live in Virginia any longer, the judgment creditor can domesticate the judgment to the state you live in and use that states legal system to enforce the judgment.
If you are truly interested in paying the judgment, you should contact the original creditor and negotiate a payment plan.

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
