My husband's employer filed chapter 11 in CA late last year, and the business was shut down 12/15. My husband received NO WAGES since 11/1, and we're owed $7k. He has yet to find a new job, and our mortgages/utilities etc. are way behind. The wages "held hostage" by the trustee, Fremont Bank, are crucial to our family's survival, especially since I have been on a medical leave from my own job for 14 months and my CA-SDI benefits ran out a month ago. How do we go about getting his back pay without hiring a lawyer we can't afford? Please help!
