vehicle repossessionWhat is the name of your state? Missouri. vehicle is up for repossession. Loan in my name first then husband's name. We are separated(not legally). He has the vehicle. Man knocked on door today wanting the vehicle, i told him i didnt have it, and he said if he doesnt get the vehicle today he will go to the prosecutor and have them issue a warrant for my arrest for grand theft auto because my name is first on the loan. Can they do this? |

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |

| That's bullhockey ! Its a nasty threat .. and probably an illegal one at that ! The only way they *might* be able to do anything to you is if they could prove you were INTENTIONALLY hiding the vehicle from them to prevent repossession. If you're not doing that, they haven't a leg to stand on. Did you give the repo man the address or location where the car is ? If you can give them that info, they should make an effort to recover the vehicle. **** hehe... it would seem me and JetX are overlapping today ![]()

| Except that your post that the activities were "probably an illegal one at that !". The statement attributed to the 'repo' man is not illegal. Lucey, you have NO obligation to tell them where the vehicle is. Just say, "My ex-husband has it and I don't know where he is". You don't need to say anything else. (I know, most lender agreements say that you agree to not hide or hinder the recovery, but they can't PROVE that you are.)
