VinnieNJWhat is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? NJ In 1998 i moved to Utah for college, rented an apartament and got a few roomates. Due to an emergency I had to move back to PA, leaving the apt wich was on my name behind, years later I found out that my roomates wrecked the place and never paid the last months rent, to make a long story short, the landlord filled a judgment against me in 2000. It has been almost 5 years since the judgment was filled, and now I live in NJ, I read that the SOL in utah is 7 years, should I try to pay it off ??? Please advice |

Of course, pay it off. However, you have a problem with your thinking.... A Utah judgment is valid for 8 years from the date of the judgment. And if that judgment creditor decides to domesticate that Utah judgment into the New York courts to pursue you, the SOL for a NY judgment is TWENTY years.
__________________ There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution). Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport! |
