wage garnishment, help please

What is the name of your state? tennessee

i am not even 30 days past due on a personal loan and the company said that they are looking at trying to garnish my wages...my question is this, how far past due must i be for them to do this?

They can't garnish until {or unless} they file a lawsuit and win. Whatever happens, it won't be done quickly.
