What if I am being sued

What is the name of your state? NYS

Okay, re my previous posts. Since you all agree that I am liable for the bill eventhough it is the doctor's negligence of failing to file a claim and fail to notify me of the situation, I am prepared for the agency to sue me. The debt almost $4,000 so they might just go for it. How much do you think it'll cost me to go thru this whole thing?

The max in NYS for small claims is $3000, so this one would go to a higher court. Which is good and bad. Good because that means you can hire a lawyer (they're generally NOT allowed in small claims court).. bad because they can do the same and it will cost you more. They'll probably add more attorney's fees and court costs to that 4K .. it could end up a LOT more.

I am not a lawyer or a member of the legal profession. My advice is based on research and experience, my own and others, some who practice law. You decide for yourself what actions you do or do not take from my advice.

Actually, there is no 'good' from this. If they do file an action against you in a higher court, you WILL have to have an attorney ($$). Reason is: this will be a 'formal' court, requiring experience with the 'Rules of Evidence' and Rules of Court. Simply, a layperson is most often (95+%) not able to present a good 'presence' without the experience. And the creditor will also have an attorney (count on it), further putting you at a disadvantage.

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!
