Ok I wrote a few other times and got alot of good advice and by doing what yall recommended got one thing taken off credit report. So thanks a bunch for that.
My question this time is I was dealing with Midland Credit Management. I sent a C&D and they quit calling and sending letters. In March we got a letter from a attorney here in Arkansas. I sent a validation letter CMRR and got the green card back. I just got the validation yesterday. In my letter I asked for this;
Please provide me with the following:
What the money you say I owe is for; Explain and show me how you calculated what you say I owe; Provide me with copies of any papers that show I agreed to pay what you say I owe; Provide a verification or copy of any judgment if applicable; Identify the original creditor; Prove the Statute of Limitations has not expired on this account Show me that you are licensed to collect in my state Provide me with your license numbers and Registered Agent

Ok in my letter I got back yesterday it only has papers from Midland it has current owner and account number, original owner and number and settlement amount. It has the principle balance interest rate accrued interest rate and new balance. It also says it was recieved October 03. The OC went into default 01. In other words most of the things I asked for they didnt send me. Are they required to provide that info for me? Should I now send a C&D letter CMRR? If I do will they just keep forwarding it to someone else? The One in Arkansas says Attorney but it also says its from a debt collector. Its a couple hrs from where we live so I am assuming its a junk debt collector acting as lawyer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would send them something CRRR saying the SOL is up on this and C&D collection activity. They may keep sending it to different people, but that will eventually get old.
