Who's liable for a bounced business check? What is the name of your state? CA I hope someone can help me! I was working at a company, and while I had not yet signed "signature cards," the company placed me on the "authorized signers" list for their company checks. Now I have left the company, and am worried that if they pull me off their "authorized signers" list or if the check bounces, then I will be liable for the amount? Is this true?? Someone please help!! [And don't worry, I'm already kicking myself in the butt for being so careless & irresponsible.] Last edited by gbgb; 12-03-2003 at 06:56 PM. |

| Why would YOU be liable if the company writes a rubber check ?? You were only a signature, I don't think that makes you personally responsible for company checks.
