Wife's credit card debtWhat is the name of your state? Indiana My wife has run up about $30,000 in cc debt. I owned our house free & clear before we got married. We do not own anything jointly. Can she file bankruptcy on the credit card debt without my income or property being considered as her assets? These debts were not for medical bills, they were mostly for BS - entertainment, toys, psychics, etc. Thank you for your time. |

| consult a bankruptcy attorney -- most will give a 30 minute free consultation -- which is enough to answer this question for you. Also, consult a marriage counselor -- your wife has problems that will pop up again. |
